Hi There.

I'm James, currently based in Loughborough, working in AdTech and EdTech on SaaS Platforms in the PPC Optimisation and AI Education Spaces.

My journey began as the subject I excelled in at school was ICT - I was hooked on computers and the internet since the dial-up days of the 90's with my AOL email address, MSN and games like Little Big Adventure - and as Apple kept doing Apple things and social media exploded it kept me learning more and more.

I naturally continued on through to Uni where I studied Multimedia Computing, moving to Munich during my placement year and then starting my first post-grad job as a Web Developer at an agency in Nottingham shortly after Graduating. I've had similar roles for various companies over the last 16+ years with plenty of travel, adventure and personal growth mixed in along the way.

Today, I'm a Front-End and UX developer focused on creating performant, user-friendly digital experiences to help individuals and businesses utilise AI and digital technology to their advantage throughout the world.

My work values

Consistency is key

Show up, work hard, and be reliable. Bring your best to work and respect the time that you're being paid for. Compound interest applies to work and your skills too.

Collaboration is essential

Great things in business are never done by one person. They're done by a team of people. Always be ready to work with others, share your knowledge, ideas and skills.

Continuous improvement is vital

We should constantly strive to improve processes, products, and ourselves. Embrace feedback, learn from mistakes, iterate and go again. Keep at it.

Progress over perfection

Strive for excellence, but don't get bogged down trying to make everything perfect. Sometimes, done is better than perfect. Deliver value early and often wherever possible.

Offer your help and support to others

If you see someone struggling or in need of assistance, offer to help. Its a collective effort. Share your knowledge and skills, uplift others and try and break down silos.

Honesty is the best policy

Always be honest and transparent in your work. If you make a mistake, own up to it and work to fix it. Shout up if you need help, surface opinions and always question.
